Pekerja lanjut usia yang bekerja di perkebunan sawit PT Tandan Sawita Papua (PT TSP) di Provinsi Papua menghadapi pahitnya eksploitasi dalam lingkungan kerja mereka. Mereka terpaksa bekerja seperti pekerja muda, dan tuntutan pensiun mereka diabaikan oleh manajemen perusahaan tersebut.
Para pekerja di PT TSP, sebuah perusahaan sawit yang beroperasi di Keerom, Provinsi Papua, telah mengungkapkan situasi mengenaskan, mereka pekerja lanjut usia yang bekerja di perusahaan ini mengalami perlakuan yang tidak manusiawi, sehingga muncul tuduhan perbudakan.
Aksi demonstrasi yang digelar di Kantor PT Tandan Sawit Utama di Distrik Arso Timur, Keerom, pada Selasa (24/10) membuka mata dunia terhadap kenyataan ini. Marlon, salah satu pekerja di perusahaan tersebut, mengatakan, atas nama rekan-rekannya untuk menyuarakan isu ini.
Menurut Marlon, pekerja lanjut usia yang dipekerjakan di PT Tandan Sawita Papua diperlakukan seperti pekerja muda dan produktif. Mereka menyerukan agar pemerintah Kabupaten Keerom segera mengatasi masalah ini.
Dalam pengakuan lebih lanjut, diketahui bahwa di antara pekerja di lima kebun sawit milik PT Tandan Sawita Papua, banyak yang berusia di atas 50 tahun, bahkan ada yang mencapai usia 80 tahun. Yohana Iring, salah satu pekerja lanjut usia, telah bekerja di perusahaan ini selama lima belas tahun. Namun, permohonan mereka untuk pensiun telah diabaikan oleh manajemen perusahaan.
Menurut Yohana Iring, permohonan pensiun yang mereka ajukan telah mengalami penundaan yang tak berujung. Mereka telah menyerahkan dokumen seperti KTP dan Kartu Keluarga, tetapi hingga saat ini, permohonan mereka belum diproses. Pekerja lanjut usia ini mengharapkan agar mereka bisa pensiun dan memberi kesempatan kepada generasi muda untuk menggantikan mereka.
Yohana Iring juga mengungkapkan bahwa pimpinan perusahaan tidak memberikan pengertian kepada para pekerja yang telah lanjut usia. Mereka terpaksa terus bekerja, bahkan di kebun yang jauh, tanpa pemahaman atau pertimbangan atas kondisi mereka yang sudah lanjut usia.
Kisah pekerja lanjut usia di PT Tandan Sawita Papua adalah contoh nyata dari masalah eksploitasi yang dialami oleh mereka yang seharusnya menikmati masa pensiun mereka. Kelangsungan pekerjaan yang tidak mengindahkan usia dan perlakuan yang tidak manusiawi harus menjadi perhatian serius bagi semua pihak yang peduli terhadap hak asasi manusia dan perlindungan pekerja.
